Who We Are

DrBook is an independent textbook review and price comparison site build by Dr. Telly Kamelia for students. We look at textbooks through two lenses: the student’s wallet and the academic value.

We launched DrBook because we experienced the textbook pricing crisis firsthand. As students, we watched classmates drop courses because they couldn’t afford the required reading materials. We saw the same textbooks priced wildly differently across retailers. We noticed that previous editions often nearly identical to new ones could save students hundreds of dollars.

What We Do

For every textbook we review, we:

• Compare prices across Amazon, Chegg, AbeBooks, Campus Bookstores, and other major retailers
• Evaluate the actual content – is this book worth the money, or are you paying for a fancy cover?
• Check edition differences – when buying an older edition makes sense (and when it doesn’t)
• Provide honest assessments – we rate value for money, not just content quality

How We Make Money

Our Editorial Independence

Our affiliate relationships never influence our reviews or recommendations. We recommend the cheaper legitimate source for every textbook, even when that source doesn’t pay us a commission. Our credibility depends on your trust, and we take that seriously.
